The Creative Outlet Method is the process used to enhance every participant’s unique abilities while providing them with the opportunity to demonstrate their creativity, increase their self-confidence, and build their social skills.
The HIPPP Rules and the A+ Audience Type are positive behavior supports that our Founder and Executive Director, Joshua Levy, created to help the conductor of the activities manage the participants’ behaviors.
While many of the activities that Joshua’s Stage conducts are common to theater arts and improv enrichment programs, camps, and schools, embedding the Creative Outlet Method in each activity is the ultimate gateway for Joshua’s Stage to meet your child’s needs.
To foster and maintain a warm and welcoming environment for everyone, caring and qualified staff and volunteers are trained to follow these 10 components:
1) Implementers and Recipients
2) CUPSS (Create, Unique, Positive, Support, Success)
3) SOfTS (Serving Others for Tremendous Success)
4) RAE of Sunshine Approach (Reflect. Engage. Analyze. Sunshine.)

CAMP PROGRAM INFO: Kids have a natural interest in money and business. At Moolah U, we feed that curiosity by giving them hands-on experience in creating their own business. In camp they experience how money works and how to use their money wisely. Plus they get to keep all the money they make! During this intensive camp experience, your kid (ages 7 to 16) will start a business, make real money, and learn about using money wisely. Watch your kid develop professional skills in leadership and personal accountability in just a few days.
Our Mission is to provide young people with a fundamental understanding of how money works, inspiring them to establish habits that build a life of financial stability and independence. Through programs at Moolah U, kids develop skills in leadership, teamwork, and integrity, knowing themselves as responsible people who can accomplish whatever they choose.
Started in 2007 as The Money Academy, the Austin, Texas-based franchise Moolah U offers young people a fundamental understanding of how money works, inspiring them to establish habits that build a life of financial stability and independence.
Founder and CEO Gayle Reaume is a graduate of the Texas State ACTiVATE program for women CEOs and a founding member of the United Way Capital Area Leadership Council for Financial Stability. With 30 years of experience in small business management and coaching, Reaume started educational programs after noticing that children are often not equipped to manage their money powerfully while they are still at home, or when they are on their own. Students who attend a Moolah U camp, after-school club, or class curriculum get real-life, real-money experiences that allow them to prepare for a stable, successful financial future.
CAMP SCHOLARSHIPS OR FINANCIAL ASSISTANCE: Please contact us at info[AT]moolahu.com if you are interested in our financial aid options.
YEAR-ROUND PROGRAMS: The Apprentice Program provides year-round leadership and personal financial management training. Through participating as an Apprentice, tweens and teens deepen and broaden their understanding of leadership and financial concepts, while getting new experience and training in being part of a Leadership Team.
The Apprentice Program is a career development program for teens where they gain experience in leadership, working collaboratively with others, and being responsible and making a real contribution to the training and development of others. We have developed the Program as a real training and development program—where our Apprentices move along a defined pathway of increasing levels of accountability and responsibility. They are involved throughout the process in measuring and evaluating their advancement from Apprentice to Senior Apprentice to Coach.
OTHER CAMP INFO: Imagine starting and running a real kid business--making MONEY and keeping the profits—all in one amazing week!
Go from Idea to Market Research, to PROFITABILITY.
Kids explore how money really works and develop skills in leadership, teamwork and accountability while having TONS of fun.
Here's what we'll be exploring:
· How does a business work?
· What makes a great business idea?
· Where does the money come from?
· How can I make my money grow?
Campers develop a business idea, including a marketing plan, analyzing expenses and potential profit, delivering a good or service, determining how to invest the profits.
The business partners then pitch their idea to our Barracudas to get a loan for their supplies (Moolah U’s version of Shark Tank) and then produce and sell their product for the week.
All this, couched in an environment of play/exploration and a variety of self-directed activities.
Kids leave our program saying it was one of the best experiences that they have had and they return each year to learn more. Moolah U gives them tools to create a life of financial independence and responsibility, the life skills that we know make a difference for the next generation.
Teen graduates of Moolah U are eligible to enter the Apprentice Training Program where they deepen their experience of leadership and financial skills. The Apprentice Program is a year round program that includes working with local business mentors, special workshops on life skills including time management, communication, and project based learning. Apprentices participate at camps on the leadership team and when 15 may enter the Apprentice Coach Internship Program.

Parents are encouraged and welcome at the Presentation! It’s a great opportunity for everyone to see the hard work the students have done.

CAMP FACILITIES: When "The Heart" was first built, it was a resort hotel, so all our "tepees" have central air-conditioning. Campers under 12 live in the original hotel, 4-5 girls per room with a counselor, indoor plumbing. Older girls live in dormitory-style "tepees" with 10-12 girls and 2-3 counselors per room, indoor plumbing. All bunk beds are twin size.
CAMP PROGRAM INFO: Heart O' the Hills has been a summer camp for girls since 1953. Director Jane Ragsdale was a camper herself who always wanted to run a camp. She became program director when she was 21, and after 12 summers in that role, became director. 2015 was her 50th consecutive summer to be at camp in some capacity.
We offer two- and four-week sessions. All campers are asked to take Red Cross swim lessons, field sports and horseback riding. There is a list of some 50 electives that campers can choose from to round out their schedules, so there is something for everyone--from the most athletic to the most creative. The emphasis is on learning new skills in a fun environment.
New campers draw from a hat to determine tribe affiliation. The friendly competitive spirit of the tribes are infectious!
Campers leave their electronics at home and learn to live and relate to each other the old fashioned way.
Counselors arrive a minimum of one week before campers to take skills certification courses and learn all about how The Heart operates.
CAMP LEADERSHIP CIT/LIT PROGRAMS: Heart LITes are too old to be campers but haven't had a year of college, so don't qualify to be counselors. They may apply to come as volunteers.
